One of the greatest joys of designing knitting patterns over the last 12 years has been seeing the beautiful projects knitters create using my patterns. After more than 80 knitters joined the “first ever” Fifty Four Ten Studio knit-along last spring, I’m excited to host a summer knit-along!
For many, summer offers time to slow down and enjoy time with family and friends. Knitting can be a relaxing activity while enjoying evenings on the porch, camping at a park, traveling on road trips, or lounging by the lake. I hope you’ll join this knit-along as a fun, low-pressure way to make knitting part of your summer!

For this knit-along, knit a project using any Fifty Four Ten Studio knitting pattern.
Whether you cast on a baby blanket for new parents, a chunky afghan for a friend, a winter scarf for holiday gift giving, or a pretty shawl for yourself, this knit-along is about enjoying time knitting, sharing your progress, and celebrating your handmade summer project.
Projects of all sizes and skill levels are welcome. Finished projects and works-in-progress will both be eligible for prizes.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Here are all the details on how to participate in the Fifty Four Ten Studio Summer 2026 Knit-Along:
SIGN UP: Register to participate using this online form. You must be registered to be eligible for prizes.
PICK A PATTERN: Knit a project using ANY of my Fifty Four Ten Studio knitting patterns. Perhaps you’ll pick my new Around the Room blanket knitting pattern or the easy-to-knit Morning Walk shawl knitting pattern. Or choose any of my other patterns!

YARN: Your choice! If you are looking for yarn suggestions for your project, you can find lots of suggestions in my blog posts about yarn.
DATES: Monday, June 8th until Monday, August 24th
START KNITTING: Monday, June 8th or after. You don’t have to start your project exactly on June 8th!
SHARE: Take photos of your knitting project and share updates throughout the summer in one of three ways:

When sharing on Ravelry, please create a Ravelry “project”! See my tutorial here. Be sure to include details about your project, yarn, and knitting progress. This is an online knit-along only.
PRIZES: Knit-along prize winners will be selected based on a well-crafted project, clear photos, creativity, and informative project notes. Photos and details about your project must be shared by August 24th to be eligible for prizes. More about prizes below!
DEADLINE: Share your knit-along project by Monday, August 24, 2026.
Your knit-along project does not have to be complete to be eligible for prizes. Finished projects and works-in-progress are both welcome!
SHARE YOUR KNIT-ALONG PROJECT:
Ravelry: Share your project on Ravelry with photos and details including the name of the pattern you are using, size you are making, yarn used, knitting needles, and notes about your project. Click here to see my blog post with step-by-step tips on how to add a project to Ravelry.
Instagram: Post a photo of your project on your Instagram account and share details about your project. Be sure to tag @FiftyFourTenStudio (Please send me an Instagram message to make sure I see your post.) Use hashtag: #FiftyFourTenStudio and #FiftyFourTenStudioKAL
Email: Send project photos and details about your project to Mary Lee at FiftyFourTenStudio@gmail.com.
Share WIP & Finished Projects: Finished projects and works-in-progress are both welcome!
I’ll be sharing select knit-along project photos (with permission of the maker) in upcoming newsletters and social media posts, as well as a knit-along wrap-up blog post in September.
