The Every Now & Then chunky throw blanket is very easy to knit with three colors of super bulky #6 weight yarn. This striped blanket is knit in one piece on US size 13 circular knitting needles. This pattern uses only garter stitch so it’s perfect for beginners or confident knitters who enjoy a relaxing project.

DIRECTIONS FOR THROW SIZE BLANKET:
Large Throw Blanket = 40” wide x 48” long
To make blanket longer purchase more of Color A (shown in blue in photos). Work a couple more rows for bottom and top stripes and add desired number of extra inches for large center stripe (blue). Each additional 2” of length requires approximately 45 - 50 yards.
SUPER BULKY #6 WEIGHT YARN:
This striped blanket pattern features three colors of super bulky yarn. (Knit single strand.)
I used Lion Brand Re-Spun Thick & Quick super bulky in Night Sky (2 skeins / Color A), Whipped Cream (1 skein / Color B) and Olive Branch (2 skeins / Color C).
Color A: 440 - 450 yards
Color B: 215 - 225 yards
Color C: 320 - 330 yards
Total: 975 - 1005 yards

GAUGE:
Garter stitch with US size 13 needles: 10 sts & 18 rows (9 garter ridges) = 4”
Take time to check gauge. A different gauge may require more (or less) yarn and impact finished size.
NEEDLES:
Blanket is knit flat, in one piece on US size 13 circular knitting needles. Circular needles that are about 28” - 40” in length will work well.
